Born in October of 2013, The Gastronome has done catering services for various events in the corporate market

We have had the privilege of working on various projects with incredible people from film productions like Sense8, international film crews, local TV shows and TV commercials. We have also done weddings, children’s events, private parties and fine dining experiences. The Gastronome has built a great team through the years as we continuously provide various forms of training to sharpen their skills

We strive to build a culture of diligence, integrity and individual growth within our team to ensure that our food is always outstanding and our service is memorable.

The Chef

Roni Karina is a professional in hospitality with over 15 years of experience in a variety of hospitality sectors both in Kenya and Europe handling restaurants, hotels, bakeries and coordinating catering operations.  He refined his art at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in London and at Oxford Brookes University, Oxford United Kingdom.  He has acquired a wealth of experience which he has put together in this new brand – The Gastronome Ltd.  Roni is highly passionate about food and always strives to achieve the best.

Roni together with his very able wife Chidi, research a lot on current food trends in order to remain relevant within the Kenyan catering industry. Together they make a great team!

Chidi Udogwu – Human Resouces Director

A retired teacher from the United Kingdom, Chidi oversees our recruitment and selection processes.  She believes that as a company, talent management is a of great priority to optimize business efficiency and reliability.  She does not compromise on employing professionals as they are on the frontline of our success.

Executive Team

Jennifer Karina – Executive Director

Business professional with a wealth of experience in both private and public sectors.  She is a board member of several state corporations including Kenya Reinsurance, Central Bank of Kenya and is the current Chief Commissioner of the Kenya Girl Guides Association.  She has a great passion for food and champions business excellence.

Bo Ciera – Operations Director

An industrial and manufacturing engineer who has worked with a number of successful top tier global brands like Boeing to ensure processes are streamlined accordingly.  At The Gastronome, Bo specializes in optimizing our business processes, to ensure we continually strive to improve on efficiency by increasing productivity and overall client satisfaction.
